About Us
NICF is an online discussion forum for Campers and Caravanners in Northern Ireland with a focus on Campsites, News, Views and Opinions about anything and everything to do with Camping and Caravanning.
A major attraction of the forum is the Campsite Map which was compiled over many, many man hours by one of our members, John. The map can aid you in your decision about where to go with your unit, be it Trailer Tent, Motorhome, Tent, Campervan or Caravan (or anything else for that matter!)
Watch out for posts about meets which are arranged by the members, for the members.
One of my favourite quotes from our very first meet in 2010 was when one person proclaimed "There's saner locked up!" but rest assured we are a friendly family orientated bunch who share a love of the great outdoors.

Thank you FPC, still tweaking. The thing now is to make sure that it's easily readable etc. I think it's nearly ready to post the link on the FB page.
This is one of the easiest registration pages I've ever come across Swiper.
The whole of the forum is private except this 'Welcome' Section - the old forum wasn't and we had a lot of readers (even now!) who looked at the content but never registered. I was always surprised when I looked up the stats and saw a couple of hundred people that day had looked at the forum, sometimes many more than that.
Here's to the future, I still think Forums are a better way for real discussion to take place rather than Facebook, the two can of course work in conjunction with each other.
As ever, please give me any feedback you deem necessary. I have one more thing I want to do this evening, I'm out for most of this evening but when I return later I'll be doing a little more work.

It's good to see everyone drifting in. One thing I'm confident of is that this 'fresh start' is going to be a lot quicker than the work put in to the first forum, as there are more of you supporting the forum now and seem to be keen to get going. We need to get some new campsite reviews, I'm copying in a few old ones but brand new ones that reflect how things are now rather than last summer are all the better.
Let me know your thoughts, either on these threads or by Private Message on Facebook.
There is a message facility here, but you won't access this 'privilege' until you've posted 20 times. It's an anti-spam protocol.
As we had moderators in our old forum, we have the same lineup in this one too. Thank you Swiper, Aceman and Big C for all your support over the years, and to Flat Pack Camper who is our Facebook Moderator alongside.
